I think the championships is interesting this year. Federer, for all his might, is NOT the same. Last year, he shook off the French Open loss with the feeling that he had another year to take a shot at. Now he senses that his chances may reduce in a couple of years, and the opposition is getting better. If he has an Off-day, then Roddick/Davydenko/Blake might just see their moment in the sun. And the motivation for winning a 5th Wimbledon vs-a-vs a French Open (and completing a Grand Slam of sorts)must be haunting Federer every day. He lost the FOpen (he defeated himself, by not converting 19-NINETEEN Breakpoints!! Even a rookie would do better!!). And if Nadal comes through to the final, then the pressure would be incredible. I would like to see Federer FIGHT out from 2 sets to 1 down and win in 5. So far, he seems to win only because he is in the front all the time. How about a gut-spilling fight, rowdy for a change and decent enough in keeping with the traditions at SW19? I am sure the real tennis affecionados are yearning to watch Federer FIGHT his way. He could have fought his way back in the French Open. He SHOULD have fought his way. Or perhaps he's conceded his fate on clay? Thats even more lamentable for the World No-1.

Federer will win this title effortlessly... no challenge at all... He doesnt even need to play his best... he will win in 4 sets if he s playing bad and win in straight sets in all other cases... :) ha ha ha ha

It's true, Federer was never really tested, we hardly see him playing 5 sets, the last time i remember was 2005 AU open semifinal against Marat Safin. Fed lost it to Safin. It would be interesting to see him playing 5 sets and winning. But he dsnt give a chance to his opponent right from the begining, he's certainly the best now. His court coverage, ruthless forehand and the best backhand. Let's wait and see who wins, my bet would be Nadal. he's equally good in grass, he proved it reaching the wimbledon final once.

precisely the point... Federer doesnt fight.. Because he doesnt need to.. He never gives his opponents ANY chance... that means that if someone can keep up the quality of tennis till 5 sets, suffices to say that the guy will win.. :) All this fed is not tested is absurd... who will challenge him?? He is as strong mentally as anybody in the game ever... and nadal, djokovic blake etc will face a stiff challenge from guys like mahut, karlovic and hewitt etc... Federer s only possible challenge is from roddick... Safin will go out in STRAIGHT SETS.... watch out!!!!
Sania Mirza will lose again in the first round. In the post match press meetings, she'll say,"I lost cause I was out of match practice plus I just came out from some (stupid) injury". C'mon Sania, grow up and stop giving such excuses. It's high time and you should start winning.
