I am in totally in agreement with you. Once he gets going he is a match winner all the way.
Accepted Beckham is one of the best at providing good accurate crosses and taking free kicks . But that's it ,nothing more . He does have the speed and skill or Trickery of Ronaldo , Ronaldinho or Messi . He is seriously overrated and way overpaid for what he does . England team is like Indian Cricket team , just a bunch of overpaid prima donnas . There are better teams to watch good football like Brazil , Argentina and Spain . But our sports network are only awstruck with this rubbish long ball English team . They just insult the game of football ,I don't why they are so bothered about anyway . Maybe it has got something to do with colonial scares still remaining within these media people .

I do not know how much of English football you get to see or understand! Of course Beckham has the skills of providing good accurate crosses & takes good free kicks. For that matter Roberto Carlos has done the same all his life. Do you think he is any better than Beckham? Providing accurate crosses & taking good free kicks is also part of playing good football, just in case you thought that they are not. I agree Brazil, Argentina & Spain are the teams to watch! A few years ago even Holland (when Rijkaard, Van Basten & Gullitt played), Belgium (when Enzo Schifo played) and Uruguay (when Enzo Francescoli played) were nice to watch! So what??? Enjoy the game as it is today! Ronaldo has the skill but it has never been put to use in the right time. Denilson probably had better skills, but was not effective at all. Agreed Ronaldinho was very good & effective, but it is harsh to compare with Beckham! Beckham is not a superb footballer, but is definitely a good player. Messi has just begun...........we will see how long he lasts! I hope he does.........I quite like his skills! And how does it concern you whether he is overpaid as long as the money does not trickle from your wallet...........???

beckham has proved his skills in both international and club matches..he is certainly the best player in world along with c.ronaldo,kaka,messi etc...ronaldinho sucks and he is most overrated player who has seldom played well in international matches and is nothing in front of a quality defence

Sports is about Entertainment , football is beautiful when it is played on the feild and not in the sky . EPL is good because of the foreign players in the league ant due to English players . English players of the present are plain rubbish and way overrated

Francesco Totti is a HIGHLY over-rated player! Apart from you, I think it is just the Italian fans who worship him! Del Piero definitely had a class about himself, but should have been given enough chances to prove his worth. He was messed around just like they did with Roberto Baggio. Nesta is a super player in defence. Zidane by the way was not an Italian...........just in case.........! Zidane was the greatest football player who I have seen in my life, apart from Maradona. Pirlo is at best a good freekick taker, but on the field Beckham is definitely better than him. Agreed that Beckham does not have the class like Zidane, but there's no doubt that no one can stick in the international football arena without being good! He was definitely a very good player. But, of course he is ageing now. And, you have to give that much of an allowance................
