With due respect to Leander Paes's contribution to Indian tennis in the Davis Cup, I would like to comment that Mahesh Bhupathi is a better doubles player than Paes. Bhupathi has won more Grand Slam titles (doubles and mixed doubles) than Paes. And importantly, he has achieved this staying in India. He doesn't reside in the US as Paes does. Not only that he is contributing to Indian tennis through his academy and has supported a lot of upcoming players like Sania Mirza. Then he manages various tennis tournaments in India through his company which is creating more interest about tennis in India.

Boss..lemme tell u very frankly..the rest of the bunch are way below in their rankings..They don't even figure in the top 250..So even now we have to depend on our old pair of Leander and Mahesh..And plz dont question about their mental strength..they are even now one of the top most doubles players in the world. Martin damn/Leander are world no 2 at present..

they r smart & not stong enough for each other so chose stronger players to partner otherwise like Sania wl never get thru first round..ha ha
