Here is a coach who accepts the reality and tries to correct the situation by specifying the real facts. Compare this with Cricket. In cricket, we hear complaints from players of playing more matches than required and skip domestic matches citing injury concerns & rest and in Football, we have a pathetic situation of players not getting enough international matches to play. Why doesnt our sports federation & govt address this issue? Just like we try to come up with reservation to uplift the weaker sections of the society, why cant the govt. try to uplift the weaker sports federation by distributing some money from the cash rich BCCI. Atleast, that will give encouragement to sportspersons in other disciplines.
