The French Open has become more of a Spanish backyard with some many champions in the last few years....commencing from Sergi Bruguera in 1993 to Nadal...who seems invincible on the show courts at Paris. There have been other champions like Carlos Moya, Ferroro, Costa...in short the Spanish dominance seems complete...The French Open seems to be a pilgrimage for the Spaniards every year.

Federer is the King of Tennis. However, the red clay has time & again been his Waterloo. That the 4 Slams can be won by a single individual has been proved. For Federer to be Monarch he has to win at the French Open. Age and form are now on his side. What better final than the King battling it out with the Crown Prince Rafa.
He will never be Nadal as long as Federer is along. He will always be Rafa 'the little one'.
