Brave men...
by umesh scaria k on Jul 30, 2007 09:46 AM

When a nation bleeds, here are few men who bring hope...lets salute them...they deserve it. This very team had played against Saudi and Arab nations in UAE. All their match were rigged by their team coach and they displayed a poor performance. Later it was evident that, the Oil rich Arabs didnt want Iraq to Win. However, one can never stop the human spirit. This is the best Iraq will ever get in decades.

May the beautiful game do for a beautiful country what ugly religions and ugly governments have failed at. Peace to Iraq. Joy to Iraq. Viva la football.

When religion goes out of the private life into public it runs the risk of being termed ugly. Almost all religion has in it the quality of exclusivity and down riding otheres.
It is just eyewash to say religion is only about peace and tolerance. The words levite, anya jaath, non-believer is there in every religion. This is ugly till you realise it and renounce it.
Religion is the biggest cover for terrorism, corruption and despotism. That itself proves religion needs to give itself a good look in the mirror.
