Congratulations to Team India. Our footballers need regular and continuous overseas exposure. Talented football stars from Kerala, Bengal, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Manipur, Sikhim, Goa and other states need to look for opportunities to hone their skills in Portugal, England, France, Italy, Holland, Germany and such countries where there is a sizeable Indian diaspora to cheer them on and off the field. Here in various parts of Portugal there is a vast and vibrant Indian community hailing from Daman, Diu, Gujarat, Goa and from some of the northern states of our country. The football loving inhabitants of Portugal often say that the Portuguese National football team and top clubs from the Primeira Divisao are regularly portraying rare football talent from African countries like Angola, Mocambique, Cabo Verde and Guinea Bissau but not yet from Timor, Macao and India's Bandel, Daman, Diu and Goa.
