indian sportsmen pays for being an indian
by attacker on Jul 13, 2007 12:03 PM

first of all indian sportsmen have no motivational support frm public. we only find reasons to criticize or pull their legs. how many of us even heard the name of victim Satheesha Rai... media only highlight their name after they caught into wrong things...

second thing, not all sportsmen in india r aware whether the food or medicine they take contains substance or not. even we people dont know. so most of them r innocent.

sports authorities shud inform sportsman what they shud not eat before games

You probable are feeling insecure about islam and thats why you are talkng like that. When Shoaib got caught, everybody hated him coz' he took dope, not because he is a muslim. When Ajay Jadeja got caught after match fixing, all hindus hated him. He is a hindu and everybody knows that and still hate him.
We hate this "Sateesha rai" too as he took dope! Tell me you hate "Shoaib Akthar" , can you?
Nobody was talking about religion here. Its you who is bringing the topic.

Firstly, if you are not an India, why are you here? If you don't know about the hindu gods or anything about the religion, don't talk about it. Go and see if you can make things better in Pakistan, not here.

That's not true. Problem is that all our player doent know what kind of sustance they are taking in. They have to take lot of drugs those are not banned and while doing that they also take banned drug as well because of lack of guidance. I am sympathic towards these player.

Discipline on anf off the field is what matters! If someone can't keep up with that Ban them. She has done it earlier as well! A second time offense of this magnitude should be taken into account very seriously!

Look at the sentence..after his 'B'....

Rai became a second time dope offender at the 33rd National Games at Guwahati after his 'B' sample test was confirmed to be positive for banned substances 'Stanzolol Met 1' and 'Stanzolol Met 3' by a WADA-accredited laboratory in Bangkok.

Dear Asad Aslam "Lion" being King can not be wrong. Satheesha Rai is male - don't get confused by first name. Read the following msg appeared in Rediff only -

Quote -

Rai denies taking any stimulant
Weightlifter Satheesha Rai, who is believed to have failed a dope test after winning two gold and one silver medals in the 77-kg category at the Commonwealth Games, on Thursday denied taking any stimulant and said he is "innocent".

He told reporters in Bangalore he has been taking normal food supplements, which include vitamins, 'ginseng' and 'ashwagandha', for the last several years but never any stimulant.

"Winning the gold at the Commonwealth Games is not a big thing. I don't require stimulants to win medals," he said, adding, "before leaving for Manchester the Sports Authority of India had conducted a dope test and it was negative."

He said he represented India on more than 16 occasions in events like the Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, and had undergone dope tests 35 times but never tested positive.
