Useless piece of information
by purnima kumar on Feb 26, 2007 08:04 PM

I think the media is now moving onto a ridiculous track wherein the published news has absolutely no meaning/ consequences whatsoever. Tennis rankings in any case (especially after 50) change considerably on basis of a single tournament..why are we scrutinizing tennis/ cricket so much!! A single match/ game should not be an indicator of how well a player is performing (so today as per media..tendulkar is an excellent player/ legend after one match - and has aged/ lost his touch after the second match!!!!

What do you mean Proudish? She is the one of the very few Indian female sportsperson people talk about internationally. Ghousekhan, why don't you write about your achievements in any field?...............

Yeah. Probably you wanted her to be dressed in a saree covered her face with a veil and hide behind the doors. She is a sportsperson man and she is gregarious and bubbly. Ego in sportspersons make them achieve higher laurels. Sania is proud of her achievements and she is eligible to do it.

Sania's ranking
by Biswajit Ghoshal on Feb 26, 2007 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

I think her happy days are over - and she has seen her best days when she reached 31nd ranking. Media and product endorsements has gone into her head and she looks to be very conscious about her body and style than her game.

I think Rediff would do better if instead of Sania it brings up issue like Quattrochi and his contacts in the Gandhi-family. Surprisingly - Rediff is totally silent on that very important issue.

You seem to be a bloody optimistic guy. Product endorsement is a part of every celebrity sports persons life. That does not mean that she can climb up her rankings.. She will in top ten very soon.

ansari sahab, nangi tangon ko puri duniya ko dikhate huye aur uspar yeh kahana ki "main ek sachchi musalman hoon" uske munafiquat ki nishaani hai...
aur aise log trakki naheen kiya karte.
i know her father is fan of Steffi Graff and has nurtured her based on her life style perhaps. who know some day she will be on the path of her inspiring steffi by becoming pregnent before marriage...
may God save our community from such pseudo muslims.

What is this... weekly update?
by Pavan Gururajan on Feb 26, 2007 05:55 PM

Man..you guys have an article every week on her one rank up or down..why dont you just let it be. Please only highlight if she takes a noticeable jump up (or down) or atleast if she plays a match! I think this is overhype of Sania.

The least you could do is since Leander played this week..and won the Rotterdam title and runner up at Doha..make him the headline and mention about sania in the end..but yeah we all know only Sania sells
