Good match
by Bhaskar Teegela on Feb 26, 2007 05:29 PM

It was a good match. As a Chelsea fan, I agree we did not play well, but won in the end. Arsenal played very well, in fact deserve to win the cup. It was Chelsea's experience and little game plan that won the cup. Overall, it was a fantastic final.

Come on people Arsenal was better all the way. Considering the age difference. They didnt have their top performers in Henry, Persie, Lehmann, Gallas and ljungberg and still they posed a strong fight. Havent you people got any senses in your brains?? The young gunners reached a final on their own defeating all premiership sidesand all presently in the top half of the league table and that too in their homes(Everton, liverpool and then tottenham). Chelsea while getting easier opponents , were also outclassed in every field yesterday. Even if they lost, this just promises more finals and league titles for the Gunners in future. And as for Man U Fans, THE GRAPES WILL ALWAYS BE SOUR!!! HATS OFF to Arsene wenger and the young gunners. I would love if any of you reply.

I am Chelsea fan, but I am with you on your note. I agree Chelsea did not play well, but luck was on their side. I liked the way Arsenal played with the young team.

how u play dont matter its the result that matters. thats why i think chelsea are deserved league cup champions, u must have seen real madrid vs altletico madrid on the weekend, real came with a draw, they deserved to lose by atleast 4 goals, atletico didnt take their chances, while real took 1 they got.so its all abt taking ur chances and the final result.

Chelsea play so efficiently that its humanely impossible to for anyone to beat it....let alone poor young Arsenal. I guess Mr Arsene deserved to be trashed for fielding the so called young team.....DOnt give reasons for the defeat. Chelsea are CHAMPIONS.

arsenal played outa their skin wid a young team...i agree...but dont u think its kind of self serving argument...if they win, well a young team can beat the experienced ones of chelsea...n god forbid if they lose, then obviously it was only a young side against a mean n older one....why didnt wenger field more 1st team players...guess the cup isnt important enuff for him.

GRAPES WILL BE SOUR?????? u place the carling cup in the same level as the premier or the champions league??pray tell me then why arsenal did NOT play with a full strength squad?with the possible exception of persie nobody had any injury haggles.i think even wenger diagrees with u mate.dont mind ur praising arsenal but stay off the criticizing man u thing. at least for this yr. ull only end up makin a fool of urself with arsenal more than 20 pts behind. chow

Good Football Match
by Vijay Durai on Feb 26, 2007 12:05 PM

It was a very good match, was well matched with dribbles, passing, air ball, beutifull field game. Both played well. Arsenal had grt attack in the young guns but chelsea was more professional in gameplay.
End of the day, everybody got to get good football match. Yes forget the last 3 minutes of the game. Just reminds the world cup finalls.

Ballack & Shevchenko are proving too Costly for CHELSEA
by osborne pimenta on Feb 26, 2007 10:49 AM

As a Die Hard Supporter of CHELSEA . I must admit Ballack [ Causalness ] & Shevchenko [ Out of For ] is proving too costly for Mourinho's men... The Team is great with the addition of Diarra. but Jhon Terry's Injury is a Bad Loss for Chelsea . Thanks to Essian he cover's well in defence.Drogba Drogba Drogba ... every Team's Nightmare..you cant stop him..he's terrific. and Robben with his speed in the later half's is lethal. but Winning is always GREAT ...Congrat's to all Chelsea Fan's ...but i hope Jhon Terry recovers from the brutal kick he got on his face ...reminds me when i broke my nose during my Club Football Match ..... i didnt get assistance and i have still not gone to a doc to repair it ...broke it once again 4 yrs back in a Rink Hockey match....Heh! Heh! Heh!

why cant people digest the fact that chelsea is day in n day out the better team than arsenal....so what if it is an expensively assembled side....its not their fault tht arsenal or any other club doesnt have the money...they hv won the league for the last two season n injuries aside, would have run through this year as well.....cmon people grow up n give credit where its due....lucky, huh!!

If you are talking about the overall history- Arsenal's head to head record against Chelsea is way way better. So no way are they day in and day out better. Its not Chelsea's fault they are expensively assembled. But there is a difference between buying a cup and earning one through talent. Case in point Drogba's transfer cost 24 Mill pounds and Shevchenko 30 Mill pounds. On the other side Theo cost 5 mill to Arsenal.

oh boy!!! Chelsea won the cup not because roman has a billion dollars, but because they played good football. It takes lot more than dollars to build a club. prime example is of shevchenko. Lots of hard work goes into it mate. n even arsenal wud have bought players, if they had the big bucks.

Arsenal were better but Chelsea was lucky
by Shak IsHere on Feb 26, 2007 08:26 AM

It was a great performance from Arsenals young team and they made Chelsea's expensviely bought team sweat for the whole match. Arsenal dominated throughout the game but Chelsea just went lucky. Hope their luck ran out in this Cup final
