Well...Vishy anand had only given us "Anand"(Joy)till date !! He's perhaps the only Indian sports person who has never let his fans down. Right from becoming a GM, at the tender age of 17, Anand has achieved many a milestone , unparalled in indian chess!! way 2 go, Vishy...
no complaints from me. Some time back I offered rediff.com that I can submit them chess news and articles. I got no response, but chess news became common on this site since then! sadly the people who write this coulumn write too many words same as on chessbase.com. but still all appreciation for rediff.com
BTW: Anand is doing fine, but in AEROFLOT OPEN all Indian players are have DISASTEROUS time. PARIMARJAN NEGI could manage only two draws of 8 games. and lost 6..... at the bottom.
I have a chess blog, which is bit cold these days. if you people want, we can talk there. see this link:
http://www.suneetsmausil.com/imforum/ see chess section there. good coverage of various events.
Unfortunate to see so few comments on this article. Maybe people are not big fans of Chess. Anyways here is one guy I am proud of any day! Just waiting for him to touch the 2800 mark. I was following the match. He lost advantage and went from a winning to a losing position midway. But held his nerves, came back remarkably and finished in style. Kudos to him!
After all we can't even critisize him unlike Sania. Guys who keep condemning her in blogs make her hog all the limelight. If you think somebody is not worth the kind of media recognition they get, stop commenting. Instead use your energies in recongising achievers like Anand. At least, they will get their due recognition.
