Italy got through the World cup with sheer luck.I dont know how cannavaro got best player.There were other players who performed better than him.Well I think Germany or France was the best team.They didnt have the chance

Italy was the best team at the World Cup... They defeated Germany in the semi-finals 2-0 in extra time... They came back strongly in the final to equalize and then went on to penalties....
joke...a negative team lucky to win world cup through penalty shootout in the final against france in which they were outplayed is world # 1 team....... cannavaro and materazzi r the top 2 footballers in world....an equivalent joke. they have one player who is the best in his business in world...gianluigi buffon for whom italy won the world cup football.

Choosing the best footballer in international level is not like indian politics. When they have chosen Cannavaro, there must be some logic behind it. No doubt he is a great footballer. And Italy has got the best defense. Their goalkeeper Buffon is also the highest paid goalkeeper in the world. I don't think its luck that brought them the worldcup, its their urge to win and sheer love for the game which brought them the world cup.
