I dont see how it will save time, even if it is a 9-hole tournament. In fact the time taken for 9 holes i choosing the pin, discussing and declaring, and each player doing this, will take more time than the usual 9 holes. Instead, we had a tournament where one of the holes had 2 flags and could putt to the flg whichever was comfortable or nearer
