If the reason for Serena's opting out is really her Bad flu then the open can be postponed till she is ready.Anyway it has been delayed now and hope fully things should be OK soon both with her and the State.

No, Serena Williams might have read the news about all the crazy things happening in & around Bangalore eversince Tribunal results came out. So, she preferred to opt out instead of landing in Bangalore and face all kinds of problems. Hats off all the people in Karnataka for this ongoing agitations and bandh; certainly this will expouse the Indian Democrazy to the world on how good Indians are in disrupting the daily life in the name of Democrazy, damaging the public/private properties in the name of agitation, how many manhours are being wasted during agitation; instead of respecting the verdict they took the wrong path to show their goodness. Great, Keep it up, with these kind of people India will become superpower in 2020!!!! I think Japanese, Koreans, Chinese & Singaporans need to learn from India on how to create agitations and how to damage the public/private properties and how to disrupt the daily life of a coomon man and these things are very important for a country to become superpower. We, Indians, need to hats off us for these kind of thigs. Great

thts funny... do u guys even know how many farmers are commiting suicide b'cos of lack of water to harvest their field... an unofficial statistic says tht in maharashtra alone 1700 farmers commited suicide in 7 months... just cos we want b'lore open to happen we r accusing the agitators for disruption. serena williams, never wanted to come only in the first place.. bad flu, it doesnt take weeks for a person to recover from flu... has there ever been a bad case of flu before oz open or anything...
as for people agitating, i agree... if u cant get things done , then people have to do things to make the deaf hear.

Hi Pallavi:
only people like you and me are more concerned about the suicides of the farmers. But, both Politicians and Government Officials are never care about the people who are dieing for the basic necessary things. Standard/Quality of the people in the Government are based on the standard/quality of the people who elected them. So, it's we,our own people are the one to be blamed for this kind of situation. I am damn sure that all these suicides could have been averterd had only both Politicians and so called great Government officials put 100% concentration and efforts to eliminate the root of the problems behind the suicides. This is also applicable to this Cauvery River issues. Politicians, Government Officials and Tribunal people are to be blamed for their lack of interest, lack of vision on the future and lack of knowledge to analyze the things in proper way. Again, it's boil down to the people only. Believe, Government in both States never acted in the interest of the farmers of both States; they are only using this Cauvery issue for their political mileage and nothing else. So, common people began to destroy / kill other common people without knowing the reality. Both Politicians and great Government Officials are sitting with the luxury life can't solve the problems of poor farmers. To understand the real problem, they need to come down to the ultimate area to see the reality; but all of them are sitting in the Palace and talking about the poor's suffereing. What non-sense is this. Media also to be blamed for not giving the exact information.

Its high time we move the ATP(Chennai)/WTA(Bangalore)to some location in North India...These South Indians are good at fighting with each other, not capable of holding any international event...Delhi has successfully hosted Asian games and will host Commonwealth games with pride in 2010
