We indians used to say that Indian hockey team is not good or our goverment is not doing anything to improve the hockey. But mate we ourselves are the culprit
When we indians will watch every match with zeal whether Indian team will loose or win. The definately Indian hockey team will improve.

The nature of hockey has changed so much. Previously when india/pak were reigning supreme it was all about skill. With these new grass courts and rules its all about fitness and athletism. For india to be successful in this we need to reinforce not only the 8-16 year period of athlete's to establish more training and resources. Indian government does'nt have the resources and nor are indian parents willing to take such huge chances due to obvious reason. Therefore we will be always below our potential till these issues are addressed.

yes mr gupta and mr peter both of u are right i agre with u, first these indin parents should give key to our children to play hockey, and then automaticaly mr gill& indian government will give hands to them.but mr gill must avoid the nonsence politecians come inside hockey.go strib area and get the players with good helth and stemino and train them right direction.this is ram from tirupur tamilnadu adict of hockey

wHEN fih CALLED MALAYSIA NAD InDIA TO ARRANGE CHAMPIONS TROHY . GILL quoted 10000 S$ and KL 30000 $$ so they get it . Get the Gill out for under bidding
