I was just reading the article and it said Dilip Tirkey converted the team's seventh penalty corner to give India a 1-0 win over China. Does it mean that we missed out 6 chances in that match!!!! I don't know, as I did not see the match. But if anyone did see the match, could you please shed some light on that point. If what I guess is correct, then it is indeed a cause of worry. I am not pessimistic, but I always believe in hard facts.

indian team is playing with OBC's SC/ST, Handicapped, blind etc etc - quota , that why one goal
I think that the recent success of the shooters, boxers, madal at azlan shah and finally the nehru cup win should give INDIAN sport the right impetus to go forward. This coupled with a slump in the cricketing arena might make things better for people engaged with other sports.
one can only wish that this time the ray of hope will not fade into the annals of history as just an event. SPARSH

Be practical...How many people will turned out..only you and me...IDEA is good.Rediff should think about it..
I wish all sports are given equal importance by the media.Winning a chinese team is not easy..And I think Hockey team is raising like phoenix from ashes.Hope our cricketers too watch some hockey and learn how to play for a nation .

One win against a new comer (China) does not justify the comments made by Warrior. It is not as if we have won world championship, though win is an occasion to celebrate.
Similarly, loss in cricket is sad but should not demoralise the fans.
Let us be reasonable & celebrate victory against China in a manner befitting the occasion & also not deride our cricketers, who I think will also rise, once the correct combination is achieved.
