Kudos to our football coach Bob Houghton for transforming these players into a match winning team. For the first time we have found a coach who talks less and believes in performance. with this win we hope that the worst days of Indian football is over and we can really take on with the better teams in the world. And I hope that the Football Federation continues supporting the efforts of Houghton. Request the media to also keep this interest in Football alive. Its time we bring back this forgotten game in front of the people. While reams of newsprint are wasted on our cricketers, who make the moolah with or without performing, while very little is focussed on our footballers, who struggle to make ends meet. Its time that we encourage this sports along with Hockey.
for 3 years, whilst bhaichung was here in uk,we became good friends.this success has been the highlight for me..i know how much he cares abt indian football..well done chung and the team!people dont realise that he's a good cricketer too..some nights we'd play till 1am indoors and argue about lbw's..see u soon..
