with current state of indian football I think targetting teams like Syria etc are the best. They are not the top tier teams, but they are not bad teams either. Playing well against them will do a lot of good. IT is better than getting beaten badly against all the top teams even in asia
India played very good football against Kirgistan. Now India got final berth also. Weldon India. Congratulations. Howton's team can take Trophy also. Under Howton (New Coach)our team have got lot of improvement. This is good example.
If India would have played Syria yesterday, I am sure India would have defeated them also. Havent seen such fantastic football from them ever. I know its too early to say or comment but it seems right now they are enjoying playing under present coach - Haughton.
And credit to public and supporters also, who says Delhities dont support football or dont come to watch indian soccer games !!

It was really nice to see such a big crowd for football in Delhi. This goes a long way in boosting a team's confidence. About Mr Haughton, I would just say one thing: no matter how he performs initially, pls give him a chance to work with the team. Give him a bigger say in selecting the national side.
I saw this match n cannot remember in my 2 decades of watching our team a player being so creative & accurate (Dias) on the football field, hope some talent scout notices him & takes him to at least s.e.asia if not lower european leagues to play & gain experience!
