no doubt Anand is great player but still game is a game.whoever plays well on that day is the king.Why anand is not in ads as many as dhoni or sachin? million dollar question

It is bcause in India cricket is a vastly popular game with millions of fans whereas chess is played and watched by very few people. Advertisers always like to reach more people for marketing. Ask a 1st standard boy who is tendulkar you will get the reply but ask him who is Vish. Anand?

anand is not a money greedy person. he dont do more endorsements bcoz it may affects his game.. he need not to spare time for useless activities just for the sake of money.. already hes earning in crores. anand is one of the highest paid sportsman of india (only including income frm respective sports not frm govt or endorsements or match-fixing lol)
hes is true hero of india!
and if u ask a 1st std. student abt anand and if he cant answer then its the shame on the part of the student their parent and teacher... now chess is bcoming very popular in india..
youngsters r taking keen interest in chess these days..
chess is the only sports india can dominate and control the whole world!!
This is not normal chess. But a variant of Chess called Chess960. This is the first time Anand is playing this while Aronian is an expert in this. Its highly commendable that Anand has come till Finals and lost only in Tie-break Cheers

Chess 960 is a variant of what is called Random Chess invented by the chess legend Bobby Fischer.The basic difference is positioning of the pieces on the last rank (line).The pawns dont change positions.There r some rules in this positioning.The name chess960 is bcoz there r 960 possible ways of positioning the pieces.Its very interesting bcoz u need not know all the theory and openings as in the case of pro's.If ur good in playing imaginative chess u can still beat the best !!!!!!

every game can start with a new chess position, but the tournament conductors usually prefer to use one variant for one round. so that recording of the game is easier. and there is no need to be happy about anand reaching the finals of the game. some world champions have won world titles in this variation as well in the past.

The reason to be happy is inspite of the politics done by FIDE in favouring Kramnik and Toplov there is an Indian performing consistantly well in all forms of the game that includes classical time contol,rapid,blitz and now chess960 !
