Wishing you the best in the finals.

A true champion, unfortunately not given sufficient recognition by the Government and the Sports authorities.

They never will, those filthy, slimy creatures called Government and the Sports Authorities. Cause to recognise something, you ought to know that it does exist. Frankly, do you really think that people who only know to loose sleep over Terrorists or who trade the country for their Middlemen Lovers will ever have Knowledge of something called Sports?

Crown or No Crown, Anand is King. He has decidedly broken the so -called Domination of Chess by Slav/ American/ European Countries & put India on the Chess - Map.

and more so, he has inspired number of youngsters to take chess as an option ...the chess is played by many youngsters today and its one of the few games which are on the rise in india ...sadly we are still missing that in hockey/football/badminton etc.

Chess is rising bcoz its an individual game and there is no regional politics. Moreover there is no need to prove a point to the selectors as in team games. This will have an effect only in the case of team chess tournaments.Even in those cases there r qualifying tournaments to select the members.
