RE:Cmon Sania

she definetly won't be at no.1 spot but she can sure try making it into top ten.....sadly she loses to her own self than to anyone else.
It is a good news for women tennis that sania is proceeding well.Although I never used to like her know all attitude on screen I still may say that she is the only indian to do this.Tennis in india is pretty raw.The men tenis is so competitive that half of the national players become coach after winning some national levels. After all support in terms of money is not good unless they becoem like leander paes.Sania has proved to be a role model for new generation women tennis .Until now girls played tennis knowing the yhave to play to win some games in india. Now they know that when Sania can do it why not them .This competitive attitude is makeing play for some goal.
Good to see Sania moving forward. Well done and keep it up. There is always scope for improvement (top 20 and then top 10) but every good performance should be appreciated. She is only the third Tennis person from India (after Vijay Amritraj and Ramesh Krishnan. Not sure about Leander, he might have done it too) to go this far in individual rating.
It is bad to see that whenever there is a news about Sania (good or bad), readers of rediff start quarelling and abusing each other. Please keep the discussion serious. Don't insult any body's sister or mother. This is not a good tradition in Indian culture.
About Sania, she may win or loose this or that match, but she definitely deserves a word of praise for whatever she has achieved till now.
Just climbing a single step should not be a reason of celebration. We may celebrate well only when she climbs to top 20 position. If she keeps playing tough, she may reach there one day. Hope for the best (and be prepared for the worst).

It has been obvious to us since a couple of months rediff is only highlighting non-issues in its headline space, steering clear of controversial subjects - what's the matter - you have lost your balls ???
