I saw three of Sania's matches,two doubles and one singles.
I could not believe a girl from a society,traditionally repressed for women could produce a player who could play just as good and toe to toe with any World players.
In the Singles game,Sania was cheated at the crucial juncture of two points when the umpire overruled the line umpire and gave the point to her opponent Razzano from France.
I believe she has the potential to become World's number One. I think she should move out of Hyderabad to tennis centers such as Miami where Maria Sherapova moved and made a name and life for herself. There she will have the oppurtunity to practice against World class players on daily basis which would be a great boon to her game, however financial constraints may be a hurdle in such an endeavor.
However,India,the Land of my fore-fathers,abode of my childhood, you have come along way,Baby.
I am proud of you for bringing equality to women and uplifting their lot from centuries old darkness of repression and injustice .
