My prediction
by John McClane on Aug 10, 2007 11:19 AM

According to me its more likely that the coveted trophy extends its stay at Old Trafford.
Inspite of injury problems and comparitively low key spending by the Russian oil barron, Mourinho's squad looks strong enough to be the most fierce challengers.
Even after of the big money spending Liverpool are more likey to stay away from the top spot unless Rafa discovers the right team early on and they play every match like a do-or-die right from the first one. Its really heartbreaking for a diehard Liverpool fan like me to forsee them again at No.3 or at best 2!

Machester United are building very well to defend their title . Adding up players like Tevez , Hargreves , Nani and Anderson..have given them more edge over other premiership rivals like Chelsea and Liverpool . My star for this years premiership will Tevez and Rooney

I disagree with you. ManU are strong, but chelsea too. ManU won the Charity shield ONLY ON PENALITIES with a strong side played against an average team of chelsea . Terry,Drogba,Sheva,Ballack,Robben were not there. So it is not easy for Man U to retain their EPL title. Expect for a tough EPL this season.I think Chelsea will be EPL champions this season.

I don't agree with you.Because the players who are injured for Chelsea are the machine guns for them and without them Chelsea are a revolver. And for Manu Nani,Anderson,Hargreaves have already come to the team.and Tevez will soon come to the team.Four titles for Manu.

Did u by any chance happen to notice how United played no less than 6 defenders? and if u analyze properly, united has the same number of people injured as chelsea.

The List included Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ole Gunnar Solskj%uFFFDr, Saha, Park Ji Sung among others. Evra was playing in the midfield. and so was O'shea. and Giggs just behind Rooney.

Of course, am assuming u would be knowledgeable enough in football to understand what i am trying to say.

Buddy Park was in the right wing for almost the entire game. These guys you talk about Neville & Solskjear are in their late 30's. They are not automatic 1st team choices anymore. And Chelsea's injury was more of their power talents like Terry, SHev, Kalou Man just imagine No strikers and the best defender in the world out. Can't compare that with ManU.

this is going to be one of the most exciting premier leaguez ever, and also a big run-up to Euro08. However, it will be interesting to see if Chelsea get off to a great start with the injury list.
