I have said it before and said it again. Alonso is a sore loser. In order to be a good F1 driver, you need to be fast on the track but you also need to behave properly. Somebody needs to give him a whack on his behind and tell him how to behave. This is the difference between a great person like michael schumacher and loser Alonso. All you Alonso fans, you can go to hell...

Well schumi was a very sore loser much more than Alonso when he was young. As he grew old he became more mature and the only driver who got a good chance under Schumi was Massa. Both Irvine & Eddie lost their careers with Ferrari alongside Schumi. Ferrari used to support Schumi like crazy. Well all said & done what Harish said is right. Alonso is a sordid guy . I believe Kimi is the best. Nice behavior with no attitude and amazing talent.

Alonso is not my favourite but I understand where he is comming from.If I was the youngest Formula champion and 2006 champion i will not expect people to kneel down before me but there should be some respect given as a 2 time champion. With Lewis Hamilton as a team mate Alonso should not expect much as Hamilton is the star now but that dosent mean he is less important.Mclaren should appreciate a good champion like Alonso and they should treat the two stars as one or equally instead of treating the other as a prince and the other as a stepson.I hope they Ferrari wins the championship.McLaren is not a fair team and they should be investigated again. The Ferrari documents did not blow away to McLaren window by chance,it was carried away by a hand.

Thats a unfair comment yaar.Karthikeyan has potential for sure but didnt get oppurtunity with a top club.I didnt say he is as good as a Massa or a Kimi....But he definitely entered F1 a touch late and now he is 32 and so cant see him getting a chance again with new drivers pushing hard

the problem with Indian drivers is that they don't get good sponsorers...Tata did their best but NK was not lucky enough...atleast one Indian could make it up to that stage...

In the early 90's I remember Narain, then as a teenager, aiming to enter F-1...that was a time when cable TV had just entered and only a handful had watched F1 even on TV...but this guy was aiming to race in F1. Quite an ambition i thought then...now when looking back it is a phenomenal achievement...he has actually cleared the forest and laid the path for so many others to follow...Hats-off to NK
Alonso moved to McLaren thinking he will be the undisputed king. Enter Lewis Hamilton and the self proclaimed King Alonso is in duress. Hamilton has brought fresh blood to the sport and if he wins it will be the next big thing after Senna. schumi won the most but anyone who knows anything abt F1 knows he cant be compared to a Senna or Prost or Mansell. Hamilton has the flair to make that league.
Alonso reminds me of my 3 year old who bursts into tears if I race score a goal against him while playing football.

D A Mac, I suggest you shud restrict your sporting activity & comments to kindergarten football rather than shoot off yur mouth against the ALL TIME GREAT MICHEAL SCHUMACHER, who'd beaten even Senna in all departments of the game. The last 5 years he was fighting the apathy created by the all Brit. team of M/s Ernie & co. (they tried to create/ bend all rules to ensure that the German Schumacher doesn't keep winning. The Brit press (which we unfortunately in India follow)in their inimitable style wud create these subjective comparisons between Schumi & the rest, very easily negating his records (which are for all to read). Its the same Brit influenced worlwide press that has made a no-scorer-in-the-worldcup- beckham a demi God. Anticipating his poor performance in Real madrid that he figured out using his powerful media contacts to make a profitable venture in the USA. so much for Brit influenced media promoting thier teams/ individuals (J Button, DC, hamilton, McLaren etc.)

I guess VSPI doesn't know or care about facts like most Schumi fans. Get it etched in your brain. Senna was the greatest ever. Ha Ha 'Schumi beat him in all departments'. Man you never read, do you. I would have wrote a hell lot of statistics but just read through the wikipedia entry then come back & lets discuss. Nevertheless you have a BIG mouth buddy!

VSPI i think u better get ur facts right. Senna and Schumacher never really had a one on one battle. Even when Schumacher won the 1994 chanpionship in whatever circumstances, he said that it belonged to Senna. Please don't compare the both!! It was Senna, Prost and Mansell who were reigning at that time.

by vijay pherwani on Aug 06, 2007 07:09 PM
John, What I meant by "all departments of the game" is proved by statistics (no. of poles, total wins, back to back championships, lap times, total chamionships won, Schumi's total wins > 2nd 3rd place holder, etc) not necessary head to head wins. If it was not for stats one never be able to draw comaparisons between to sportsmen of different era. Given personal prejudices, we'll always have subjective favourites, but what finally matters is records. As they say "In sports winning in not everything, its the 'only' thing"

by Areen Banerjee on Aug 06, 2007 09:42 PM
Its not just the stats that matter.. I dont disagree that Schumu was fun to watch but comparing him to Senna and Prost kinda stretches it too far. Bcoz it is well known that Schumi wud stoop as low as it can to win a race...remember the car ramming incident he was involved in??

I think ur the biggest cry baby in this world as u seem to beenjoying the champion gettin secondary importance in McLaren...I think u shud jus quit watching these F1 races as they are not for ppl like u and start playing wid kids in playgroups...

dont get senti by the way , i dont give a horse shit ab F1 unless india wins the 3rd test.
The problem with Fernando Alonso is that so far, he has never been threatened from within his own team, especially by his team-mate. So when a young rookie who answers to the name of Lewis Hamilton comes along and joins his team, he never bargained that he would have a fight on his hands for the 2007 World Championship. His comments like "McLaren are favouring Hamilton because they are both British" reeks of gross insecurity. His body language after every race that Lewis wins speaks volumes about the fact that he is indeed a sore loser. A terrible loser, in fact. His acts on and off the track won't help his cause. If he wishes to leave McLaren at the end of the season, so be it but it goes to prove the point that Alonso can't accept a challenge. It's about time the Spaniard grew up.

Hey you! who ever you are! Have you seen F1? Have you seen the way Kimi drives? If so you would never blurt out these idiotic sentence. I became a fan of Kimi because of his raw driving talent. He is unbelievable. He is the best in F1 even when Schumi was there. And just to compare Kimi winning a race is like you are good enough to win a race against me driving an Ambassador when I am on a MAruti 800. Both have around 35 bhp engines. Well for your info Kimi used to do that. He used to beat Schumi & Alonso with those cars. I hate people shooting off their mouth. Facts kid facts!!
