Sania loss to Sharapova
by shiva on Aug 04, 2007 06:18 AM

Sania had a good run. Let us not get the bile out of our system and succumb to teen age angst over this loss.

Sharapova has been blown away by Venus similarly in Wimbledon. Anyway MS is a top player and Sania would have learned her lessons to fight another day.

Her rankings are at all time high and she can go further. Let us enjoy the moments of victories and losses should be taken in the stride. We have too few successes and we expect Sania to shoot to number 1, just like how some parents are disapppointed if their children do not become another Bill Gates. Similarly, our cricketers alternate between heros and zeros, after each match.

We all have to accept facts of life as that makes each day more interesting.

A Country of 1.8 bn cheers a zero.

Soonavala says - http://soonavala.livejournal.com
This useless overhyped 2nd rate pretender got her due. She does not belong.

6-2,6-1 thrashing at the qtrs of the Acura Classic, some II rate tournament.

Is this a hyped achievement? For someone with so many facilities? Shame.

Don't you all come back with some BS like at last some Indian has come to the II rd. Shame on your III rate expectations.

Here som BS on your face !
Shame on us and most on you that 1.8 bn people can not create great players and when someone like her does achieve everyone expects them to win the biggest tournament or don't your face.

She is overhyped and she has to improve but that doesn't make her achievement anything less than spectacular which I guess is the reason you are also reading this news and showing your concern. If you think you don't care or this is crap the why even read it.

Your 1st rate expectations make you a 3rd rate fan !

first u were talking abt safina beating sania and that sania doesnt have a chance!now when she faced, i bet it as Sajl said being indian u wud have prayed she thrashes her too,but it didnt so ur back to usual way of bashing!this and that and in excitement u wrote "2nd rate tournament" i mean are u serious? Sharapova is there safina ratedmuch higher than sania are there so y are they there!i guess ur mentality can be rated "2nd class" othing more to be said!if ura sports fan u will appreciate her efforts!if she moves to usa t ge training, then ull question her nationalism that for money she left usa,u won let a chance to go to thrash any one!Amritraj's son is based in US has a trainer so y he isnt ablet to impact? puts an end to ur logicof moving to usa and trainer makin an impact,u ur self are so indian or subcontinent mentality that "go into a tornament and st win,i am from pakistan but i appreciate her efforts, like sharapova s just therto lose!like other players are there without rackets!like sania is there just to loose!everyone tries to win,the bettr he/she wins!apprciae that they try!give her appreciation that being awoman from india shes doing well all by her own self,Sajal rightly said she has earned it hasnt begged it!media hyped it not coz she called them up that project her,she has something, she can be a orch bearer whom many girls in india and following her example will hopefly one day win a grandslam which the torch bearer wasnt able to!know how to appreciate!

Wouldn't you admit that you too had some interest to join in this blog at this late night (unless you are from US or somewhere else)? Many like us, not expected, but wished a miracle against Sharapova. Deep in our heart we all wish Indians to do well. May be not many will agree that that type of expression is BS. Also, Sania or any other players, who now have enviable amount of money, has actually made it him/herself and didn't get it as gift from you or me. As such, they may at their will choose to have however many facilities they wish. You and me are also in that 1.8 billion number. Have we been able to be on the news? She deserves credit for what she has done so far. Financial strength and celebrity status brings in other things - but who dosn't?

BTW Sania earn more money(thanks to ad) than Sunita. And sania is far better talent than most of the girls in tennis circuit. But did she utilise her talent ever. Why dont she trained in US where evry top players lived in US or other developed countries. Why she had no coach.Does she think that she is federer.See everybody need coach to correct their error and thats specially in tennis which is much competitive game.I didnot tell she is not gr8 talent but her talent was total wastage

by tanmoy on Aug 04, 2007 01:29 AM  | Hide replies

Can anyone tell me when will Sania win either TIER I or II or grandslam tournament.Bcoz she is already 20.And for ladies its the best time to win a tournament.Plzz Sania win some tournaments so that tennis lover can remember u.Otherwise u will be like Kournikova who also dont win many except some doubles grandslam.

Sania Mirza is finished. She is no match for any top tier player. We Indians will be lucky if she makes it to top 20.

Yes we are unlucky to have a womens player in the top 30, we will only be lucky if she gets into top 20. but i guess ur 'lucky' factor would change to top 10 by then !!
