It is a good news for me as it was demanded by the female players that they be given the equal prize money. Higher incentives always motivate and thus the performance of the players also increases and the competition increases. Building another court two with bigger capacity is also very good news. Best of luck players of both the sexes this time. I hope will be able to witness better competition this time. One can give equal prize amounts to both the men & women players for they ALL entertain. Since they all train & aspire to try to win to the best of their capacities, I hope the Organizers of Wimbledon and the other Grand Slams have decided to pay higher amounts to ALL the participating competitors. They do work very hard! Thank you ! Jimmy Khambata, of Lytham, Lancs.UK. & Poona/Pune, India.

its not ridiculous... women have less stamina compared to men....They play equally hard as men...so they deserve equality....

There are about 5 women players who can be said to be tennis players. The rest are just grunt and groan players.
If Sania can be in the first fifty in the world, by playing from one spot, then imagine the global standard.
Its ridiculous that they are getting equal paychecks. Just look at the talent in the mens game. Look at the effort they put in. No one is sure of his position at any time. The competition is so intense.
As Mr.Girish Rao said -"this is a ridiculous example of political correctness"
The William's sisters are the only ones who play tennis (although their dress sense is horrible). I like watching the other women tennis players only because they are wearing such revealing dresses.
How can you compare any women player with people like Andre Agassi or Blake or Nadal or Sampras, let alone Federer.
This is good news for INDIAN new rising tennis stars. If somebody has already decided to be a sport person by setting cricket as a game the I would suggest him to go for tennis and don't waste his future on stupid time-wasting game. Indians have not only stamina and strength but also hard working capacity that will help them to become a star 1 if they keep away from add and media hype.

true, I highly respect tennis players for their determination to win. Even an unseeded player works like anything to win.
I always think cricket also should be named at individual level not at country level like in tennis. Like Indian team should be named "Team BCCI" than "Team India". That will help people realise the reality and they dont take much to the heart. We are taking cricket too much personal level which should be avoided.

then if Team BCCI wins world cup, then what we should be proud of, that Team BCCI won the worldcup and not india.

thats true... Cricket is more like a national game and brings pride to the entire nation, whenever the team wins.
