Look at those guys on the bench. They have all been internationals in their time. Coach Armando, his assistant Mauricio, manager Mahesh and TD Camilo Gonsalves were legends of the past era. They played for Dempo Sports Club, represented the Goa State team at the Nationals, and were seen often doing duty for the country in international encounters. Now for years they have been creating fire in the bellies of our men in blue and white match after match and season after season. Where do you find such guys serving their club with distinction ? What they could achieve in modest quantity as players, they are achieving in greater measure now when placed at the helm. Salute them for their dedication, commitment and perseverance.

Actually DEMPO might not even need to play Mohun Bagan, they will be crowned champions well before that match. i suppose they will field Dempo Juniors (U=16) against mohun bagan, which will be more than a handful to contain anyway.
Dempo, you have in you to become NFL champions once again. Please don't play with over-confidence. All the best in the remaining matches. We are all eagerly waiting for the NFL crown on you had once again. Armando Colaco you and your boys can make it. Socorro N. Mascarenhas, Mira Road.
Being from Goa, I know how much this fabulous game of football can do to someone, and we have so much of the good thing on the fields of beautiful Goa.
Football is, in any case, that much more exciting than cricket and we should give more time and money to this exhillarating game.
In the meantime, i wish Dempo all the best and hope that they lift the coveted title of National Football League champions.
