Can not the media take a stape to popularised the game? Please Please stop talking SPORT = Cricket, and also put a little effort on other games coverage, this will deffinetly help.

I totally agree with you, football is game of 200 nations and cricket is game of mere 16 nations,so it is high time we should support soccer instead of cricket.

we lack sprting talent in physical sports. our spicey food has made us weak from within. we are not having the best of army if it is involved in one to one physical fight... sad but true... ban chilly spicey food.

Need Good Soccer Agents
by chapar on Apr 17, 2007 09:09 AM

We need some really good soccer agents who can promote our talent in Europe. India is one of those countries where talent is in abundance (no doubt). You name anything, we have talent but no backing.

Soccer is a high profile game and requires good support from goverment and businesses..

I wish I could pick up few players from school and get them to Europe..

If you put politicians as head of such bodies the game will always suffer. They use it as a stop gap when not in power.sharad pawar will do the same to Cricket by allowing mumbai lobby to let the fallen heroes stage a comeback.

while I agree with you about ' discarded' politicians taking up sports body top jobs when "not in power"...I dont know why you missed out
"retd policemen" from the list....You are right..!
should have included the ' super cop's ' also along with the super flop Priya for the decadence of two lovely " team games " viz
SOCCER AND HOCKEY....

Priyaranjan perhaps could not fix this guy.Is he loosing his touch? First Sepp Blatter has to find a way to kick out Priyaranjan, then figure out what is the way forward!!
