FIFA cannot improve football in india. It'll be complete waste of money. Till such time politicians and beggars run sports in this couontry, nothing fruitful can be done.

Why......................
by chinmoy chatterjee on Apr 16, 2007 12:58 PM

Before helping for improvement of football we need to know ,- why Indian Govt. did not help
Indian football when performance was getting
better day by day before 35/40 yrs.At that time
India was far better than some other Asian teams
those are doing nowdays doing good because they
helped/encouraged by their Govt.
But Why India Govt. did not care for the improvement of football??????????????????

Kindly start commenting on it logically.........

India could never get past the medium stage in cricket even though it has been playing it for a decades now. So screw cricket, patronize football the global game, a sport u can play with one football...spread the football culture by teaching it correctly with special emphasis on safety, so the kids wear boots and other supports...create a team of coaches who can go from village to village and teach the basics...soon we should be having football stars playing for Barcelona and Man United, and sending lots of money home...IT is not the only to get recognition...btw dont neglect basketball, hockey and other exciting sports....its time our spoilt brat cricketers get the message !!

Corruption is everywhere no doubts about it.But the important thing how football can be improved, not start thinking about the corruptions involved.Corruption of mind is the most dreaded disease and it can affect billions in a short time.

How it is possible to improve anything with corruption?????
After 2003 WC cricket why we could not improve
or atleast maintain the same status????????

Because it is impossible to do better/good with a bad thing(corruption etc etc)

Do you intend to say that corruption was absent before 2003 WC Cricket?Certainly it wasnt, corruption was always there, but it was the human spirit which prevailed over corruption during WC cricket or golden fifties where we performed so well in football.

FIFA attention will definately bring in improvements in indian football, but sponsers will queue only for cricket as the days of matches catches empty mind devils to get involved some thing common for all,and never ending speculations. football max 2 hours of unintruppeted matches will not provide the sponsers the large time slots for tv ad.Munshi should start troffy recongnised by AIFF.

wht r u talking. Do u even see how soccer is prayed in the whole world (minus south aisa)... One match of professional soccer gets more money than a cricket tournament... Its not the money tht we should be worried abt, its the sickness of cricket that has been burried deep inside Indian people's mind tht should get rid of.

Mr.Hussain is correct.Having risen to the occasion, one match of football is capable of generating revenues many a times than a cricket match. But the important thing is to instill the confidence of sponsors over the football game by taking the game to new standards and giving the moolah back to the sponsors.
