She does not have a proper serve, and does not have a proper backhand . She had no variety in her play and her only strength is forehand . Gee... I am an worst ameteur player and I can say that . Why can't India grow up to reality and look beyond these overhyped jerks

hold man... the next highest ranking in women is 239th... do u mean to say we root for Shikha and neglect Sania... common sense says that we root for the best possible option...
don't know why people always have this prejudice against Sania.... She's sweet, humble, plays welll for an Indian Girl, does not get bogged down by failures or controversies...
what else do you want from her... she plays to her potential.. and at least as long as there is no other Indian gal within the top 100 we will continue to root for her...

Ok sweety mama , The problem I have with Sania with all the Endorsement, she cannot complain about the money now . But her game seems to be stagnated for the last two years ,which only shows she does put any hardwork to improve her play . If she does I have no complains about her . You can talk all dingle dang off the field , but you have to prove it on the court, which I think she lacks

Not Women , but Leander is the Man & the Face of Indian Tennis , No Gimmicks , just the passion to play for the country , Fantastic Role Model .
We've been watching Sania for quite a while now.Usually stars rise to the top by this time.Sania really has no results to prove her merit. Its time to consider that her talent is over hyped and this is as good as it gets for her.
I have been watching the discussion boards for a while now (I have read rediff.com since it started). Its amazing how no one has a good word for anyone/anything! People criticize as if they are leading stellar lives themselves! Is this an indian attitude? Elsewhere, I have seen people being encouraging and supportive of sportspersons who are down and out.

Sports is all about competition (and so is life). We compete to our best ability everyday and survive.Thats why we are critical when we see people not making a sincere effort and whinging all the time (ala Indian cricket team).Agreed Indians have a crab mentality and tend to pull ourselves back. But we also applaud any achievemnt an Indian (or a half Indian as in case of Sunita Williams).

Reality hurts my dear friend , People like you can forgot ,what she was saying two years ago , that she is the model for Indian women, next superstar in India blah, blah etc . For years she is overhyping herself to get some ads & money , while all the while avid tennis followers like this audience here knew she was self promoting dipstick player . So plz grow up suckers and open your eyes to the cheap gimmicks around
