I don't think he is still the best ever, not by a distance compared to the exploits of Sampras and many others. He doesn't even have a decent record against Rafa. He gets nervous when playing against the exuberant Nadal. Schumacher is a living legend as he was world champion a whopping 7 times, Roger Federer is just begun and he still needs to prove a lot.
Roger Fedrer is one of his breed, players like roger are born once in a century. The best tennis player the world has ever seen and the best thing is his humility, roger you deserve this award. CONGRATS
2006 was the best chance for Roger to complete the Grand Slam. Federer can still win the French, but it will be a bit harder this year, with two consecutive losses to Canas, Nadal looking better than ever and with emerging younger players like Djokovic close at his heels.

i agree wid u........but look at what he has done.......even tiger admitted that fedex was currently the most dominant sportsman,even above himself........3rd consecutive Laureus justifies his talent and humility.....he is also into charity ina big way and personally goes around the world for it.......he is one of the best sportsman of all time
