We are talking about the coaches, but wat about the management indian starts it dismal performance ever since mr. gill take over the IHF... Fire him and make sure somebody who is player govern IHF...
India need to learn from this world cup hockey event and competition. We are unable to measure our competitive ability to play against our opponents. Indian hockey has problems of conventional mindset. It's true that our kind of game is the best form of hockey remains in the world, but hockey game has changed completely. India must come to terms with the reality of modern hockey. The officials at the helm of managing the game are outdated. No point comparing with the past glory when most of the hockey technics and norm have changed. Hockey talents are available in abundance. India needs basic infrastructures. Where is our govt doing for this??? Just blaming the players. Govt must have a role to play. We definitely need players who can play the match with same vigor, high stamina, pace, team co-ordination. Its shame that we are unable find and groom sizeable drag flickers. I don't understand our coaches today unable to train on this or finding or grooming aggressive strikers....Who is to be blamed for this??? India needs the best coaches, management and players...
The way I look at the disgraceful performance is due to 1. We live in the past glory 2. We have too much of politics in running the sport associations 3. Support from Govt and major corporate bodies to promote hockey 4. Our players need more dedication and more importantly DESIRE TO WIN and KILLER INSTICT SS
It seems that few powerful people are very much after indian hockey to finish from its existence from the land. They either leave the seat or align themselves to the tune. How long will it take is a big question mark.
That is a good sign to Indian Hockey . Very soon we'll be out of rankings and stop playing .International hockey should ban teams which play pathetic hockey.
