India deserved at least a point thirty years back

I have been hearing the same since the time I was made to learn, "Hockey is India's national game".

We have come to accept the fact, we are not the dominating force in hockey for a very long time now.

We need to come to terms with the fact, we will not be a dominating force in hockey for a very long time...

unless...

We change the game...

Unless a team tries to win till the last second, it does n't deserve any points. The Indians should start thinking of scoring another goal to win rather than kill time. The mentality of players should change. Nothing less than a win is acceptable.

Hi All,

I think there is no point in discussing ,what should have been ? the reality is germany has beaten india.India should look ahead and give their 100% in winning rest of their matches.

This time India should play with passion, which has been lagging in the previous world cup, With unison, our team can emerge victorious.

The players should think that there is still more to paly and possess the ball and keep atacking the openent side in the dying moment, nevet let the steam out, never look at the score board for remaining time. reap the benifit boys.

hey,
i feel this time india can do somethin.....with the way they played,it was really good, but the only difference between indian boys and germans was the attitute towards the game, indians were playin for draw whereas germans were playin to win.....body language of germans sugessted tht they are here to win and not to loose....the passion is somewhere missing in indian hockey team.....eventhough all sort of motivational strategies are bieng adopted by the indian fedration.....we are keepin our fingures crossed this time.........

India in the 1st match of world-cup

It's high time India perform better in terms of finishing with goals...Are we not capable of doing so? There are enough talents available in India, and we can't expect the same loosing game again. If not succeed change the guard/coaches....having mere gameplan is not enough. Must convert good show into winning goals. Anyway, all the best to India team for the next matches.
