What's the point in discussing this now ??? The truth is France has lost the World Cup to Italy... due to "Zidane". Whole France will never forget this nightmare !!!
Cheap Mentality

When people are talking about serious things where does spurious elements like Rajesh come from talking about Tamilians?
Maybe he belongs to the Materazzi creed of half baked unfulfilled stereotyped entities who cannot digest a Zidane geniosity or the flow of Tamil literature.
Zidane is beyond cheap words, mean tricks. He is a mortal beyond explanations, on and off the field. France losing the world cup is merely records, a history. Zidane is a human being who lived for what thought was prudent and right. I personally started admiring him more after the incident.
Cheap people like Rajesh and their cult should not be even allowed to post their comments in such a site.
since Materazzi has conveniently implied that his door is always open for Zidane....i guess Zidane should accept it..... he should go and head-bitt him even more fiercely.... what Materazzi deserves actually is not just one headbutt....looks like he's got a very different idea of what can be called provoking.... filth like him shud be kicked out....i am surprised that he's got away with nothing as compared to his erratic behaviour...
'if you want my shirt I will give it you afterwards'? This cannot be called provocation by any standards. Materazzi should not have said what he said. Too bad. People are stooping to such levels. Shame. Shame. Shame.
Only players/people who do not have confidence will stoop down to lesser tactics and you did exactly that. That is why u are some materazzi and he THE ZIDANE. it was so easy for you to talk cheaply about women and it was so difficult for the great to even hear it. See the difference
Materazzi said he was first provoked by Ziddane when he said " if you want my shirt I will give you later". The whole world has watched how the players of different teams exchanged their shirts after the match as Souvenirs and as a gasture of goodwill and universal brotherhood. Perhaps Ziddane also thought that he will exchange the shirt after the Match. Hence, Materazzi's excuse that Ziddane provoked him first by offering his shirt to him is not at all accptable . Obviously, the Italian realised that with Ziddane in the field it would be impossible to win the cup. So do something, to send so that he goes off the field. Itally's victory therefore not at all creditable.
Reactions of both are acceptable. Though words can hurt more than physical abuse, if what materrazi has offered of open friendship, Ziddane should accept & we should read of their union.

What Materrazzi said is Quite NORMAL and commonplace in competitive sports like FOOTBALL,RUGBY,ICEHOCKEY, even CRICKET!(Aussies are known to be the best at it).But if someone calls you names,it doesn't mean you head-butt him! That is a Physical affront. It is an act of war! Keep the abuses verbal, not Physical, since, anyway abuse is going to be there. You have to learn to control your temper, and not sucuumb to provocation,in tense games like the finals.Zidane should have shown more restrain and left his last game gracefully.Materazzi is right when he says, "more offensive" things are said on the field than these(like racial slurs). It is definately not correct, and should be controlled by the match refrees. If everyone goes about head-butting,we might as well watch WWF.!! sHUKLA
It is ridiculous to express such a comment about one's family, whatever may be the demand of the situation. We should know to control our anxiety at any moment, then only we can be proud to say as "human being" & that is the speciality of our sixth sense.
Any human being with full of family affections, could not tolerate such comments, either male or female genders.
It is quite funny to learn that he drags "tens of footballers who could confirm that much worse things are said on the field". Why he has take others for example, can't he set an example?. Thousands of young childrens would learn to hurt others by words like this whoever come across Materazzi's explanation. It is very sad.
There is a proverb in Tamil - " The injury made with fire is very less than the injury caused with abuse of words, by our tongue ".
The worst part is he expects ziddane to express sorry first. The world has become in such a manner who will bell the cat first ?. As a most popular player of the game he should try to set an example for the world, because "leaders dont follow others but other follows a leader".
