Andre Agassi a true sporting icon !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Nov 06, 2006 01:27 AM

His outstanding qualities of head and heart stood out throughout his extraordinary career on the tennis courts. The game needs such multidimensional personalities all the time.

Agassi Memories in Washington DC
by Krishna Tallur on Sep 13, 2006 09:52 PM

My best memory was to watch Agassi play in Washington DC at Legg Mason Tennis Classic. We saw him play in August 2000 prior to US Open. Agassi always came to Washington for tune up before the US open. My wife and I were at the stadium early and we were able to stand very close to the court to watch him practice with him former coach Brad Gilbert. Agassi was Legg Mason cahmpion for 6 years. He played there for over 15 years.

Agassi,the messenger of Tennis
by A.Vivek Krishna on Sep 08, 2006 04:57 PM

Andre the giant. We can call him by that name even if he doesn't resemble so. He is a great player, with a 'never say die' attitude which is evident when he came back to the Top5 after a slump in his form which saw his rankings tumble to the 100's. The rivalry with Sampras is one of the most memorable one in tennis history. He is a legend who will live long and strong even after his farewell.

Agassi the legend
by Guru Prasad on Sep 08, 2006 03:28 PM

He'll be remembered not only for his tennis but for the entertainment value he has provided to the game. Sampras or Federer are greats but they don't have that charm which agassi has. I still remember when Sampras was literally crying to beat Jim Courier in 5 sets in the US open semi-final (i think it is in year 1995) but only to be defeated by Agassi in straight sets in the final. Agassi is only the 5th player in the history of tennis to have won all the 4 Grand Slams. Tennis lovers will miss him. Tennis will miss him. Tennis won't be the same again without agassi. His baseline game and the long rally's he is involved was such a treat to watch....he has evolved as a person also from being a punk to becoming a legend...his charity work.....he is such a role model to others. Long live mate....Have a wonderful life.

Aggasi : Simply the best
by Upendra on Sep 07, 2006 08:55 PM

Words are not enough to explain the greatness about this Guy - Andre Aggasi. Beacuse of him, I starting loving the Game Lawn Tennis.

No one in the current era can attract the crowd as this guy did. The thundering ground strokes, the lighthening passing shots, the marathon games are still fresh in my memories.

Who can forget the great matches played between him and Pete Sampras. A true fighter and a crowd entertainer. There are many people who have picked tennis as a sport because of this great personality.

Aggasi : Wish you all the best and we all are waiting for Jaden Gill to step into your shoes and reach even more greater heights than you did.

Agassi the survivor
by P.A. Nelson on Sep 07, 2006 04:11 PM

Arguably Agassi is the longest survivor in the male singles sector in Grand Slam Tennis. He was also a silent and gentle player, In spite of his 20-years history nobody woould have thought that he had won 8 Grand Slanms!! However, Tennis will not miss him and maynot even feel his absence.
