kimi is no 1
by mandip on Oct 16, 2006 11:34 AM

now we have to say that schumi was a great driver for f1 but from now kimi is no 1 driver for all the times and he is going to create another golden history for formula one starting from next season.

Perhaps Kimi will crash into Schumacher & do every1 a favour
by Hiren P on Oct 12, 2006 10:38 AM

Hmm... Raja, have you forgotten about all the controversies that Schumacher's been involved in over the last 10 years or so? Not exactly the angel you make him out to be. Agreed, he was gracious in defeat, and he IS a spectacular and charismatic driver who's capable of unifying an entire team. Perhaps Alonso's been negative the last few weeks but Schumacher's been carrying around this dead weight for so many years... it should definitely be a major strike on his record.

hehe .. schumacher has all the bad luck, heh ? my a***
by Ramesh on Oct 12, 2006 10:02 AM

Okay, accepted that Michael's a hell of a driver.. heck, a driver par none... but let us enumerate his championship's.

2000 - if not for some terrible misfortune and some smart ferrari moves, it was there for hakkinen to take :( ... mclaren reliability and slow start to the fore!

2001 - yeah, hakkinen was already showing his apparent disinterest and nobody else was consistent enough
2002 - yes, ferrari and michael all the way

2003 - interesting that with a poor mclaren, raikkonen was able to hold stead and challenge michael *all* the way....

2004 - michael all the way

2005 - terrible mclaren reliability cost kimi a certain championship!

given all the bad luck other drivers have come to inherit, I am surprised that "1" ferrari mechanical failure was considered terrible luck... i bet it was because alonso pushed michael to the hilt that this happened...

ofcourse, i havent considered other years whne michael was robbed of championships... I am talking to quiten those ppl who started watching f1 recently.. . shut up .. there is F1 beyond schumacher ..and he's had one of the luckiest streaks of F1 that I can remember w/o having mechanical failures!!!

What is the title of this chat?
by vaempuli on Oct 12, 2006 07:40 AM

This definitely is a chat amongst Schumi's fans. What else? I haven't seen an "expert" so biased in his views. There isn't even a pretence of objectivity here. Schumi the best Alonso sucks. I am no Alonso fan , Kimi being my favourite but one feels sorry with suggestions like "Kimi should crash his vehicle in to Alonso". Win by hook or crook. Such attitude! The same lot cried foul when Schumi was baited quite successfully by Montaya.

Hi Raja Sen,

I like reading your columns but this blatant favouritism to Schumacher is appaling. We should not forget that ferrari ( and yes the GOD Schumi) has profited often from their competing teams engine failures ( Mclaren in 2000 season) and Renault past few races. So the question also would be can Schumi win with a mclaren next year if he had to drive it. So lets please keep analysis impartial, if not make pose your comments on the ferrari fan club. Sorry that came out more harshly than I wanted. Good luck this season and the next.

Schumi's farewell
by Rams on Oct 11, 2006 09:18 PM

I read somewhere in the chat, winning doesn't mean alonoso is champion. That applies to schumi too. Schumi crashed into damon Hill to kill his championship chances. and better forget what schumi had done to Mika Hakkinen, the gentleman champion of F1.
