Bhupati is a loser!!
by Manish Kapur on Oct 09, 2006 10:15 PM

Paes is the man .... He's given more than 200% when he's played for India ....played with his heart ....
This man bhupati is just an opportunist .....
I mean he is just an ordinary doubles tennis player.

We have loved and admired paes not for the tournaments he has won but the passion with which he has played for the country . Bhupati on the other hand is living on a different planet altogether ....Lonely perhaps

I will not be playing for India
by Rajan Natarajan on Oct 09, 2006 09:56 PM

All those comments against Mr. Bupathi is unfortunate and made in haste with out analyzing the root cause and under individuals immature emotional status.
Mr. Bupathy more than a player he is great individual who has sweat for the country. He has done all that is possible to country despite all those dirty politics that Indias sports body could offer him. Why there was no much euphoria when Paes refused to play with him and first to go away and started paring with foreign partners when they were No1 double partners in the world. Mr. Paes is the one who broke the partnership and talking loud that he wants to put hands around Mr. Bhupathi and sort out the matter. It is unfortunate and there is a limit for the sports body to play the politics ( like in the case of Mr. Ganguly ) and condemn the good and highly nationalistic players like Mr. Bupathi. All those who commented against him and questioned his integrity towards the country, please note that even if Ganges is flooded with filth no one will like to take a dip. So let us clean the filth in the Indias sport bodies and then blame the players who have served enough for the country. Let us not emotionally blackmail him.

Yes, Political interference in sports is affecting the moral of the player to a great extent now a days. As we change jobs to advance in our career, for players its their career. They can decide better on whom to play and not. How come somebody is writing that this is totally shamefull act. Mahesh we are with you. In India, if you have muscel power and then money, you can achieve anything nasty.
Thanking you and Best Regards,
G K Venkat

Bhupathi not playing for India
by Sashi Rao on Oct 08, 2006 05:46 PM

While it is unfortunate, it is high time that we move on beyond them and plan for another worthy pair for the future.Rohan and Ghouse did well in the recent Mumbai Open. What about Harsh Mankad ? -who is also keeping out for his own reasons(AITF politics !!).

One being questioned repeatedly in the Walk the Talk program(NDTV) , all Hesh had to say was how both he and Leander have MATURED over time. Yes, THEIR EGOS HAVE MATURED OVER TIME !!!!

mahesh stand
by srikanth on Oct 08, 2006 05:41 PM

appreciated mr. mahesh stand as an instant feeling when the sports authority taken a decision without his consent and looking for alternatives thinking in their in mind about the future presence of indian tennis. for a sport person like him feel the sports authourity should have a transparent talks before taking a final decision with the calibre sports person like mahesh
various coments on ego , serving the country may arise as reasons and same cited towards the sports person ascomments , when a person is taken for granted ( without dicussions) the feeling is different, for the country he loved and served and will serve.,

i hope mr.mahesh will reconsider after a silence thought of his own and will continue to serve his country with a love for it ., come on mr. mahesh it is not new , every sport body in any county has its own way of functioning . we should not let our country down and feel you have that responsbility as the country has given you name and fame.,

you have still lot more to be done for your country in coaching new young talents wherein indian tennis should be in top in global arena.,

i hope you will reconsider you decision .,

Re: Mahesh -''I will not be playing for India''

Hi,
Mahesh Bhupathi's statement makes it very clear that the real problem here is EGO & AMBITION and not the small matter of playing and giving everything for your country without expecting anything in return. Both Mahesh & Leander have let down INDIA badly on this issue a number of times in the past too due to their MONUMENTAL EGO & GREED to corner personal glory.(I have no idea about the AITA personnel but we can safely say that their character would be
to butter thir individual nests and to promote sycophancy at the cost of promoting the game).
I think the INDIAN PRESS should make it clear to both Mahesh & Leander that it is high time they stopped their EGO fight and to get on with each other for INDIA's sake.Their stupidity and silliness is beyond comprehension.Or elso KICK them out of all events involving representing INDIA in Future.

An IRRITATED & ANGRY SPORTS FAN
