Respectful farewell to the departed footballer !

Knowlegeable old timers say Ferenc Puskas who captained the Magical Magyars and Real Madrid did some breath taking warm-up exercises that involved a dazzling display of high-kicks and tricks - running the ball off his shoulder and down the left side of his body and on to his boot; flicking the ball over his body and catching it on his arched back that would silence the onlookers.

One can never forget Puskas.
And as far as I am concerned 1954 World Cup belongs to him and Hungary.

Salute to Puskas.

Salute to Puskas

Puskas possesed most lethal left foot world soccer has ever seen. His feat of scoring in almost every international match (on average) that he played inspires awe. Had the referee not intervene wrongly in WC final, his record would surely be perfect as 84 goals in 84 matches and he should have become a WC winning player. Only Gerd Muller's average scoring record is better than him, but he did not play as many games as Puskas. Besides Muller could have scored all by himself, Puskas had to share them with three of his partners who were equally prolific scorer. My salute to the "Galloping Major".
