dope tests and shame to india
by swaminathan on Mar 25, 2006 04:39 PM

25th march

I am pained by the dope test failures of indian atheletes who know what to avoid and have coaches and physical trainers supposed to be experienced to guard participants. the officials who accompanied the contigent seem do not seem to have role and responsibility, and seem to have accompanied as tourists, using political and other connections to go to Australia.
the atheletes who won glory to india with such a commandable performance in no way less than that of Sania Mirza or Sachin, do deserve not to be looked upon as culprits because of few who went the wrong way causing a 4 year ban to Indian participation. this also dashes their hopes to keep their enthusiasm for future participations besides depressing those who seriously train for next events at international levels.
this is a repeat of officials failing in their duties be it olympics or asian games or commonwealth.

in a Democracy like India, no one takes the blame and life goes on merrily for politicians to swidle the country by every means.
it would not be a wonder if some other country spots the talents and offer citizenship to our atheletes with all support and costly facilities.
