The Italian serie A has been rocked by the umpiring scandal & the same was very much visible in the match between Italy & Australia.Mafia exists in soccer too
I feel sad that Australia have lost the way they have after a good game dominated mostly by them. Why do they feel injustice now. After all they do the same to the rest of the world , when it comes to Cricket.
Surely, there was no serious foul by the Australian defender to award a penalty in favour of Italy. The referee gave victory to Italy on a golden platter which they did not deserve. A very poor umpiring in such a major championship. K. Mallick
Watching the game fully any person would vouch that Australia was the team that played quality football
I would love to see Fabio sent off, and Totti crying (with his thumb in his bloody mouth) after Italy's next loss that is worse than what Australia had to experience.
Those two players deserve nothing but even more
Referee is a royal cheat. When he decided on the penalty, he was close to the place of incident. That vagabond Fabio pulled down the Aussie defender, the refereree was bloody blind; That cheat Fabio feigned a fall with a dive and the third grade referee ordered a penalty. I would like such referees to be barred for years from officiating. It is time that FIFA decides to use technology while confirming crucial decisions especially when there is protest. Or use technology to ban grossly erring referees.
Otherwise Football could become a farcical game with royal cheaters as winners
italy dint dint deserve to win, aussies dint deserve to go ahead, purely on merit terms. they play thier own brand of soccer, different from others, very physical, play to win, and there willbe times like these - when they will be test. so they can shut thier pitiful mouths and get lost!!!!
