Argentina VS Serbia &Montenegro

The match (Argentina vs Serbia & Montenegro) was a sheer display of poetry on field by Argentina....the 2nd goal scored by cambiaso and the moves that precedde it will remain one of the best World Cup goals to be cored ever.
Even Messi, in his brief spell of 20 minutes, gave us a glittering glimpse of the diamond that he is !!

VIVA ARGENTINA !!!

Dutch Will go all the way

The Dutch with their super fast football can score goals even before their opponents settle. And score goals they can till the end. They have a good chance of winning the world cup.

My friend.I was intending the desaparation of Argentine fans to equate each and every upcoming stars to Maradona.

Brazil has already enough cups in their kitty.Don't mind if we don't get another one. lol

A reserve bench with Pablo IMAR(called as successor of Maradona in 2002),Tevez(called successor of Maradona in 2004) and Messi(called as successor of Maradona in 2006) is very strong compared to Top eight teams......But the possibilities are same for each of the strong 8 teams...be it Brazil,Holland, Germany, Italy,Argentina...etc.It will boil down to a day's play between them with 50% chance

I don't understand the point you(ashruf) were trying to make by saying Brasilians doesn't need any tag. But I take my word now "the top 8 teams may have fancy their own chances on the given day, but WC '06 is not for Brazil". You will find it true in a fortnight's time.

The truth is that Argentina still in search of a player half of the calibre of Maradaona.that is why they get excited when a new player is coming up.It was first Ortega then Aimar then Saviola then Riqelme then Tevez and finally Messy. It was not soccer pandits who called them 'next maradona'.It was only Argentine fans.

Brazil does nt need that tag for any of their player. There is enough talents there and nobody does nt like to be called by any tagname.

Still agrees with you that all the top teams have chance and it is that day's play determines the out come of the match in knockout round. All the best wishes to Brazil.

Don't write off Spain
by judson on Jun 17, 2006 06:10 PM

It was true that Argentines are an unit, but I believe it'll better for them that people don't talk much about them till they have their hand in the cup. To me they are the favourites. Netherland will never be able to cross th quaters and don't write off Spain they are the under-dogs and it's good news for the men in red that silence prevails over them not many speak about them.
