Before going for World Cup dream..Improve the players facilities. Still Hockey and Fottball palyers travell by train, bus, with no support to continue with the sports. Administators make fool of players and sports in india. Ministers like Mani (..just like Gill and Jyotikumar in Hockey)day dream and force games to fall in dark pit.
Basically the idea is not bad. We have enough time to improve ourselves in the game. There is nothing wrong of thinking something very big. But the sport ministry along with corporates should take real interest in the upliftment of Football like Cricket. Like Cricket Football is also inhereted from a different part of the globe. If we can do good at cricket why cant in football. I would like to ask a question to all of my countrymen "Can you build a mind setup for this Challange?" Hope lot of people may laugh but I want we should put our best to uplift Football in the country.
india is way way behind in terms of everything in football comparing with the top 30 teams.atlest qualify into the wc india needs another 15 years of rigourous training and proper talent hunt.its a shame that in a country of 100 million people india cannot produce 11 football players who can take india's name globally in the game of football.and politicians should assess every situation before mouthing such idiotic craps.shame on politicians that they do not leave a game out of politics.
Hah ha ha.....Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyar sure has a gr8 sense of humour, how else can u explain his comments about India hosting World Cup football !!!! Every 4 years the collective concious of our football administrators wakes up and realises that we stil are'nt anywhere near the top countries of Asia,leave alone the world.Let Mr. Aiyar make some sincere efforts rather than pop-statements.

I have a piece of suggestion,Mani Shankar should start thinking beyond time and then he can plan things better.India should bid for football world cup but not year 2014,it should be something year 3014 or 4014.By then May be rest world would have had enough of football and then India could think of organising it! Along with competitiors like Bangladesh,Sri Lanka,Laos and something like those.And may be by then India would be rid of red tapism,corruption,reservation politics and other social creeds and would concentrate over better things but in near 1000 yrs ,dont u think its difficult a little????
