Who says Italians are not capable of justice and fair play ?

The Italian Football Federation's (FIGC) has come up with an ethically correct and just decision. Congratulations to the football governing body in Italy. They are sending a powerful message to the sports world by showing a healthy spirit in matters of winning and losing. Many among us admire their sense of justice and fair play.

The Italian Football Federation's (FIGC) is certainly capable of going further in their efforts to inspire the world with another shining example of true sportsmanship.

Their recent World Cup victory against France did not demonstrate all the noble ingredients that should go with such a major world spectacle. Millions of lovers of football across the world were not impressed with the way one Italian player provoked a Frenchman that led to the anti-climax and eventually a victory and a world trophy for the Italians.

Many do feel that Italy could come forward and hand over the World Cup to France making another noble gesture of enlightened sportsmanship. Such a gesture would be a fitting finale to a lovely World Cup event where Italy were offered the best platform to take football in particular and sports in general to the next and a higher level.
