It's really unfortunate to hear the sad news of Sathyan. He is a big loss for the Indian football. He was an alltime best players in Indian football. May his soul rest in peace.
It seems it is bad time for football. A disastrous word cup final and match fixing drama in Italy followed by suicide of former Indian captain Sathyan, is no good news for football. Sathyan was the real strength of Kerala & Indian team, where he mixed his skill in defense and midfield. I suspect we didnt give him the respect and recognization as he deserve. He has not been awarded the Arjunah, while those who underperformed than him were awarded. No matter whether he was a failure in his personal life, he is a real winner in our memories. May his soul rest in piece
hey there is no need in committing suicide after doing all the wrong.....he does not help anyone else but only escapes from his responsibility..he wont be in the good book of god though he has done other good activities...he should get down and see how other poor people are earning there living
It's really sad news to hear that a great sporting legend had such a terrible time in his last days and had to resort to such extreme step.I wish he could get some help in time. His family is going to have some hard time for some time now especially his little kid.
It was really very bad to hear. He was a fully trained man to meet with all challenches. Even if he did it. This happenings should be an eye opener for everybody. We need more counselling centres. People are all thinking very fast and there is no time for a second thought. I think we need on line facilities for getting valuable suggessions from experienced and professional people. Let us hope for the best in future. Best regards
We dream of playing football WC in the future. It is high time our footballers are paid well enough to sustain them. Players must be paid good, be it at the NFL level or when representing the country. We do not want football to go cricket's way, where only the 11 in the national team are paid according to international standards. If we ever intend to have strong pool of talent to choose from, then the players at first class level must be treated on par with international std.
This is so shocking. More so when the world just enjoyed the world cup. We heard so many stories of the players enjoying so high fees, and in india ex players are commiting suicide.
Can the establishment wake up and try to find mewans and ways to take care of these ex players who have brought fame to the game. Can our Cricket board who are full with extra cash do something for the its brothers and sisters.
If the government is so worried for our farmers who are commiting suicide they should wonder for the players too.
