Zidane's red card .........!
by Kunal Naskar on Jul 11, 2006 05:08 PM

ZIDANEs red car in 2006 world cup proved that electronic means are acceptable to the referees. Even players are also ready to accept it, since France striker Thierry Henry said: "If they want to use video evidence it's not for one incident, they should use it for everybody and they should look at Materazzi too."
It is nothing wrong to use the available sources for protection of playing rules. Referee is also human being, moreover he is concern to conduct the game properly, so he require at the game spot, rather what happening behind him, for those linesmen & off the field assistants are provided.
So, what happen with ZIDANE is correct, but my concern is, will FIFFA now be think seriously about brought the electronic means to conduct the game?

Materazzi chose the cheap way out...
by Sunil Thomas on Jul 11, 2006 11:44 AM

All his accomplishments are worth nothing, when it will soon be revealed that he is nothing but a cheap racist, and had to resort to racist slurs to provoke a Zidane ejection en route to their title. Materazzi is one cheap winner.

Zidane's red card cost the French but the reffere has to check the complete matter with tape replaying because the onfiled is also din't seen any think so that u has to check every thing & each every ascept because it is very important that Zidane is player who can change the game maybe italin make a target that we have to remove Zidane by saying something to some one. but the reffere make the decision in favour of Italine " This is very Wrong" why don't reffer think why Zidane did like this what the italine say to him

Answer to blind french supporters

Well, those of you who feel that the italians were crying, let me tell you this, against Australia, Materazzi was sent off despite there being no contact. Grosso was brought down, yes the touch was minimal, but it was more than the materazzi sending off. As for Zidane, well he has always been like this so it is not a surprise. Those who have watched football for long enough know about his and even Figo's disciplinary record and it hasnt got much to write home about. As far as holding is concerned, it happens all the time and for that you have to play the game and NOT sit in your living room and watch and comment. Every team from Angola to Brazil, Everyone does that. Those are things that are there in every match. As for abusing verbally, all I can say is if you care enough to win, you will do anything to win. And if Materazzi abused Zidane, and if that provoked him to get sent himself sent off, then I totally agree with it. How can you care so much about something and not ABUSE the person who is trying to snatch it away from you??? Italy won because they scored more. They were better in the first half and the french werent. They scored of a penalty that never was and paid the price

Zidane' s Red Card was Just
by PS Gopalakrishnan on Jul 11, 2006 10:23 AM

Yes. He deserved lifetime ban from Football. But since he is no more fit (declared himself out also), such penalty has no meaning. Whatever be the provocation from Materrazi, Zidane had no justification. Some people interpret that the referee had not seen the mad act himself and had taken the help of technology, I mean the video. Why not? The technology had been witness when human eye failed. Taking such a flimsy technical stand would be demeaning 'Truth' & and a negation of 'Reality'.

long live --zidane...
by aheryogi on Jul 10, 2006 11:58 PM

What zidane has done is of very much needed... When a player is said about his race, nationality or about his personal issues... Then he should not think about what people will say... He has to do whatever his inner-voice is saying to him..
Thats what ZIDANE has done..
JIO ZIDANE... JIO..

Disgrace forever!
by Nitin on Jul 10, 2006 07:08 PM

It takes ages to build a career, a reputation and become an icon of Zinedine Zidane's stature but a moment of madness to ruin it all!

Whatever greatness Zidane may have achieved..he will forever be remembered for this unsportly act!

What a disgrace!

Moreover, FIFA has put itself to shame by awarding such a player with the Golden Ball!

Albeit there must be vere provoactive comment from the italian player, but Zidane should behave like a great sportsman(who he is),but he choosed to act like an animal typed man.No... there is hardly any excuse.
