Suresh kalmadi Should resign
by Senthil kumar on Jan 03, 2006 03:52 PM

Mr. kalmadi must resign becuase he has lost all sanity. the past 2-3 decades he has been in this field, he has achieved nothing ut self aggrandizement.

As a person who has lost his senses has no right to continue in office( he does no one wee bit about organizing the olympics!!! or the magnitude), Mr. kalamdi has abdicated his right to continue in office

High time we find someone more professional to run sport in this country. No point blaming Our Athletes for not winning medals.

Mr.Kalamdi statement is nothing but pure TOMFOOLERY!!!!

Senthil

Please do not make any extra expenditure for God's sake
by Vishnu Binani on Jan 03, 2006 10:07 AM

Organising a game show won't mean any extra feather to the cap of nation but will definitely add to the potfolio of the ministers . Please firstly sort out the problems associated withe the nation then think of this undue burden of expenditure on the country man.

Create infrastructure first!
by Sudesh on Jan 03, 2006 10:01 AM

There is no harm in dreaming. For a country which has barely managed to get not more one medal, even thinking of organizing the Olympics is nothing but a wishful thinking.

Moreover, the worst quality of road and power infrastructure in teh national capital will itself disquality Delhi. The city which sits on a heap of garbage with potholes all over the city (except vip areas), it would be advisable for politicians, bureaucracts to first concentrate on improving infrastructure. One should take a leaf out of Shanghai which is rivalling even New York in terms of infrastructure.

Invest Money, Don't Waste

If you are holding any post on behalf of Country, You should be more careful before making any statement OR making decision.
It should not be satisfying your personal ego...only.
Be careful and look towards real India, which needs Drinking Water, Health, Education and Infrastructure and naturally not OLYMPIC.
If you are really interested in games, encourage our rural games, by arranging Indian Games Festivals.
Provide better facility to existing players / atheletes of our nation.
