Why dont u call a spade a spade and name the TV Channel who mis quoted Leander. Such Yellow journalism must be banned.

Could the other TV channels harrass the TV reporter who asked the question to Bhupathi please... I would like her to comment and apologise on national TV for her actions.... absolutely disgraceful... she should be sent to Guantanamow Bay..

LEANDER-BHUPATHY CONTROVERSY
by RAMESH MATHEW on Dec 14, 2006 11:36 PM

It was an issue blown out of proportion by an Indian television channel. The reporter concerned should not have certainly understood what Paes said earlier and that was enough to set the stage for a controversy.

It was true that the some unprofessional "journalists", representing some south Indian channels raked up the issue further by airing what they heard from the said channel reporter. They should also share the blame for the controversy that should have been easily avoided. RAMESH MATHEW, Doha

Leander bhupati clash
by Ramdas Iyer on Dec 14, 2006 10:28 PM

These guys have been bad mouthing each other for decades now. Together they wouldnt stand up against even the flimsiest of opposition from manly players. I sometimes feel sania mirza will single handedly defeat these to had beens. Indians are sick and tired of the antics of these people. These old guys will be doing a service to the country by very very quickly haging up their boots or alternatively emigrating to pakistan. Screw paes and screw bhupati. we need neither. Sania atleast looks good.

Paes-Bhupati combine
by jyoti kanungo on Dec 14, 2006 10:24 PM

The pair has been pride of the nation. Despite of the strained relationship, they gave their best and brought laurels for the country. Kudoes to them and I take this opportunity to admonish the TV jounalists who are hell-bent upon creating differences just for breaking news. I fervently hope they turn out for the country as a pair for at least another 5 years.

Anti Indian division two great indians to sell one's channel or paper
by V L Gopalakrishnan on Dec 14, 2006 09:19 PM

Who is more dangerous a Pakistani suicide bomber or a self promoting politician who considers politics as profession and indulges in caste and divisive policies and appease the vote bank or
now the channel chaps who mercilessly write about the two great indians to bring a serious divide.
As every dutiful Indian who watches and enjoys sports by fair means and celebrates when ever an indian or indian team wins all of us have to write to Dear Leander and dear Mahesh that they should not disappoint all of us, the crores of passionate Indians who wish them well together. We appeal to their elders, parents, friends to advise them. We appeal to themselves to not fall prey to these cheap trouble makers but like they are excellent in their sports try and analyse at that same level of excellence what is fed by the mindless people who put words in to one's mouth. Let the channel owners who are mature and leaders of Industry also advise their staff to refrain doing disservice to our nation but be responsible. Like reporting someone beat a cricketer in some race! Why is it important to write all this. Don't we want our country to come up? If one can't excel in sports atleast hecan salute

this is real sad..
by Soujanya on Dec 14, 2006 09:06 PM

I cant get myself to make either of these great players to be the villain here...When they play together, its just good for the country.. I think fans of Indian Tennis should respect what they have achieved so far for the country and just hope that they sort their differences somehow or the other, and keep playing for India.
If their differences are irreconcilable, then we must just accept it..
Although, I do wish they would continue playing together!

India should not loose Olympic medal from this outcome. In last olympics Lee-Hesh missed the medal by a whiskar. That late night match against Croatia is still in my feelings. That night i had not slept for that defeat. We INDIANS should not loose medal this time. Its my sincere request from behalf of all INDIANS.

GOD BLESS THEM WITH FAITH AND CONFIDENCE
