Indian Hockey debacle at Dohar

Yes, quite right. "This is not the end of the road" is perhaps the right way to look at the Indian Men's Hockey debacle at Doha and we can draw a lot of consolation (!) from the deeply meaningful and philosophical thought!! Especially considering how big India is, and how many times you can keep 'running around' the country without spotting the end!

Honestly, how come no one seems to be deeply concerned or committed to enough to take some action - to lift the Indian hockey from the lowest depths it seems to be slipping into? Can't we do something to bring back to it at least some glory that it used to enjoy? What is wrong? What is wrong indeed? It hurts badly not so much that we don't figure in the gold-silver-bronze winners list any more even in Asian games, but more that we are pushed to fight to 'qualify' for berths! Do we need to wait more to see to what depths we can sink, before deciding we needed to be lifted up.

Come on, wake up ye all Administrators! Your own pride is at stake, don't you see that? And come on sponsors, don't you think Indian hockey needs your intervention even more?

Sadly,
M. Shankar.

IHF cool about Doha debacle

This game of HOCKEY which the whole World knows is totally different from what we used to play Once Upon a Time. Acknowledging this fact, IHF Officials must ensure that our country has infrastructures as followed globally and Lates Game RULES are followed at all level of Domestic competions in addition to spotting young talents.

I agree with what may have been stated by FIH. IHF Officials should not function like an island, they should collabrate with new thought and ideas.
