Congratulations to the Gunners !

The Arsenal players worked hard and presented a fine result for their long serving French coach Monsieur Arsene Wenger. Thierry Henry and his men may have to do a bit more when they face Barca or Milan in the finals. Villarreal has been a revelation. A small family club owned and run by chairman Senhor Fernando Roiz with his son and daughter as director general and second in command looks incredible. Sports director Senhor Jose Manuel Llaneza and the Chilean trainer Manuel Pellegrini may be the only non family members with a significant say in the planning of the first debutant to reach the last four of the prestigious European Champions League. Their one touch football, long periods of ball possession and all court activity were a delight to watch at the El Madrigal last evening. One did notice that Pellegrini's boys were a bit short on experience and confidence but not on talent, technique and will to work. One did feel a draw would have been a fair result taking the two sides into a tie breaker where Arsenal's German goalkeeper and his untested counterpart would have been drawn to display their enormous talents worldwide. Congrats to Jens Lehmann for his significant performance.
