Hi

I am trying to get hold of Biranchi Das (from the Judo club), Sandeep Sahu (journalist)about a programme idea I'm doing.

I would appreciate any leads, telephone number of the judo club, or email adresses, or a contact number for Orissa's minister of state for School and Mass Education.

Much obliged

Kind regards

Lou Sanders

Do you think it is advisable to make such a small kid run?? The small boy must have run initially because of fear of his master. Now also he must be doing because of the same fear.

Someone ought to check on this!!

Stop it. Be scientific in training
by Rajesh Swaminathan on Sep 19, 2005 09:24 AM

This is absurd, stop it. Running 10 + miles at a stretch should happen after 18 yrs in age ( I am a marathoner & decently know about long distance running).

Running long distance at an young age causes irreversible physiological damage not to mention the pyscological impact. Allow the child to be a child and harness his athletic gift in a sensible & scientific manner

This is very surprising and unbelievable. If it is true,
our media and sports personalities should take notice and give credit to the boy he deserves and which I believe is a world record. He needs encouragement and all the help to build up and develop his physical strength.
